Tekken 8 Unveils Devil Jin as a Playable Character

New member
The latest character announcement for Tekken 8 introduces the formidable Devil Jin to the roster. After taking a backseat in the previous installment, Jin Kazama reassumes the role of the primary protagonist in Tekken 8, embarking on a pivotal journey to confront his father, Kazuya Mishima, in a decisive battle that will determine the fate of the world. While Kazuya leverages the formidable might of the G Corporation, Jin possesses his not-so-secret weapon to shift the balance in favor of humanity: the infamous Devil Gene.

For those entering the intricate narrative of the Tekken series, the Devil Gene represents a supernatural genetic anomaly coursing through the Mishima bloodline. This gene bestows the bearer with potent demonic abilities, materializing in the form of the Devil transformation. Jin's initial encounter with the Devil Gene occurred following his betrayal by his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima, culminating in the events of Tekken 3. However, it wasn't until Tekken 5 that Devil Jin became a playable character, showcasing Jin's full surrender to the influence of the Devil Gene.
