Nintendo has unveiled plans to introduce a fresh batch of Spirits to the ever-expanding roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, much to the delight of fans. These Spirits will draw inspiration from characters featured in various third-party gaming franchises, injecting exciting new content into the beloved title.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, renowned for its extensive lineup, currently boasts over 1,500 Spirits. These Spirits serve as power-ups and collectibles, offering buffs and enabling players to unleash unique abilities in battles. Notably, many Spirits pay homage to characters originating from non-Nintendo properties, further diversifying the game's universe. Nintendo recently disclosed that additional Spirits, themed around characters from Supergiant Games' Hades, Vanillaware's 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and Konami's WBSC eBASEBALL: Power Pros, are set to grace the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board. This special event is scheduled to run for five days, starting on January 25.

This announcement follows a surprise update earlier this month, which introduced Spirits from Pikmin 4, Splatoon 3, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lineup, adding further excitement and variety to the gameplay experience.
