With the rollout of the v28.10 update for Chapter 5 Season 1, Fortnite players are engaging in heated discussions about a perceived significant buff to the aim assist feature. This pivotal element of the latest update has stirred a range of opinions among players, with some viewing it as a means to level the playing field against mouse and keyboard users, while others express disdain for the concept of assisted aiming altogether.

Officially released on January 23rd, the v28.10 update for Fortnite's Battle Royale mode introduced a wealth of new content, including the addition of Solid Snake from the renowned Metal Gear Solid franchise, complete with items like the EMP Stealth Camo and Cardboard Box. While the update also implemented balance changes for various weapons and gameplay elements, the patch notes on Fortnite's official website curiously made no mention of aim assist adjustments.

Reports of an aim assist buff gained traction when a Twitter user known as GabeCFN shared the game's update files, suggesting a substantial enhancement to aim assist.
