Recent findings suggest that Bandai Namco is in the process of creating a video game tie-in for the Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon anime, a spin-off of the popular shojo anime Inuyasha, first released in 2020.

While Yashahime experienced a mixed reception in its later seasons, it remained a standout in the fall 2020 anime lineup. Produced by Sunrise Inc., now under the banner of Bandai Namco Filmworks, the series unfolds the adventures of sisters Towa Higurashi and Setsuna, separated by time-travel complications. Bandai Namco has recently filed a trademark application for the term "Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree." The classification of this filing, detected by Gematsu, aligns with the typical trademark category for video games.

While the trademark itself doesn't explicitly confirm a Yashahime spin-off, two key elements strongly suggest a connection to the 2020 anime. Firstly, the mention of Towa, a prominent character unique to Bandai Namco Filmworks' anime portfolio. Secondly, the reference to the "sacred tree" likely alludes to the pivotal location in the Inuyasha lore, known by various names such as Goshinboku, Tree of Ages, and the Era Tree, featured in both Inuyasha and Yashahime.
